Our Mission
We are a creative team based in the heart of Southwark. We use music to bring communities together and are home to exceptional international music legacy as well as rising young stars. We have ten valuable years of experience in developing successful music education programmes and are dedicated to commissioning and promoting new works that explore the collaborative nature of the arts.
Educational Outreach
DEA Music Academy has established a world class music education and outreach programme in the heart of Southwark Community offering music tuition to children of all ages, workshops for the elderly and performing opportunities for young people across the borough. Students of DEA perform in venues across the capital, from Southwark Cathedral to Omeara Theatre, Canary Wharf Square, Borough Market, Backyard Cinema and play a key role in open space events such as The Great Get Together.
New Music Commission Awards
In one of the most diverse boroughs in London, where art and music are at the very fabric of the people, we commission works that explore the relationship between many art forms and celebrate originality, excellence and beauty. This is a great platform for young composers to see their works performed by highly qualified musicians, in interesting and unique venues.
